The exhibition is based on many essential issues of the modern world and freely explores an individual's relationship with memories, present times and a possible future.
Alisa Yoffe fills her paintings with an attitude, which is all about here and now. An energetic image literally expands, goes beyond the canvases and spans to the walls of the art gallery. Yoffe's paintings are not just a commentary on today's Russian reality, but a sort of legitimate battlefield. They depict the struggle to survive and to find another possible approach to the social organization. Yoffe's works had rarely been exhibited outside Russia. This is her first solo exhibition outside the country.
